Everything but the Kitchen Sink
Hello, 2015!

2015 was quite a ride. It brought on a slew of deaths, hospital confinement, and added responsibilities. But horrible as my year might have been, I did gain new friends and did something I never thought I would: finish my first-ever novel. I don’t like dwelling on the awful things, because I always like to

Anddddd….. The new theme goes live!

Look at that, Mister Kapre! Our little nook on the Web has a nifty new theme. I’m still ironing out some kinks in the landscape iPad version — argh, the Twitter widget just won’t play nice with my code — and some pages are still under construction, but the blog is almost ready. We can

Mister Kapre and I say, “Hello World!”

  • #authorlifemonth Day 6: Awesome Moment. There are a lot of awesome moments in my writing life (and more coming soon), but that day I visited my grandma, my Mama Nena, to tell her about signing with such an amazing agent is my first proudest moment as an author. You see, Mama Nena was the one who taught me to read. I couldn't keep up with my classmates, so Mama Nena spent every day after school with me, using my affinity for art to associate words with meanings. Without her, I wouldn't be the writer that I am now. πŸ’•πŸ˜Š

I'm a bit late, and I likely won't be able to post daily, but today's theme is just so hard to pass up! πŸ˜„ My book takes place in different parts of Metro Manila, but it begins in a park inside a fictional gated subdivision in Quezon City, somewhere near Katipunan Avenue. πŸŒ΄πŸ‡΅πŸ‡πŸŒ΄
